The ionVortex Firefly is a flight ready On-Board Computer that carries a single SoC as its CPU. It is lightweight, and low profile, making it an ideal solution for most satellite and multi-rotor drone applications. While the the specs of the SoC can be fine tuned to your mission specs, the board itself carries wide range of sensor inputs and analog and digital outputs.

    Small yet masterfully designed.

    The single core Firefly has a robust design, redundant RTC circuits, and a 2 MByte FRAM board memory that is designed to withstand harsh environment. Firefly has a lower power profile and could be fitted with various SoCs to carry Machine Learning tasks, image processing or general purpose Command & Data Handling (C&DH) tasks.

    Experience Quality

    Our boards are shipped with their environmental and physical test reports. We design our boards for space qualified applications such as satellites and small-sat. This includes G-testing for launch stress, as well as radiation tolerance calculations.


    * We provide best estimate for SEU tolerance however we do not perform radiation chamber testing.

Robust Design

Firefly is designed with the harsh environment in mind. We thermally cycle the boards as well performing vibration test matching profile of the well-known LVs. In addition we can cycle the product to your specifications.

Various Altitude

Although the board is designed for Low-Earth Orbit altitude, it is a well suited option for short Low-altitude missions, as well as longer term LEO missions. All boards are tested in thermally controlled vacuum chambers.

Firefly is is an ideal solution for power limited edge networks where reliability is key. Its low-weight and low profile characteristics makes it a suitable option for a generic LEO mission
